DP Excuse me, $1000 is not generous???  You sound very ageist and kind of clueless if you think saying thank you to people who give you things is no longer appropriate for some reason.  What's the reason, is it because being ungrateful and unappreciative is the way people want to be now?  I have to assume those of you who think this is no big deal are also teaching your kids they don't have to write a thank you note of even give someone a call and say thanks when receiving gifts.  Just know that some of us see that as selfish and pretty sad.[/quote]
