Parents of neurotypical children have no idea how much money the school systems spend on very expensive lawyers - they don't bother with reasonably priced lawyers, to fight trivial issues.

You would not believe how the school system fought us on a simple accommodation for my child that cost nothing and required few resources. It was a standard accommodation that had been recommended every year by every school for my kid. We complained when kid did not get services one year and the school tried to hide it but ended up giving us compensatory tiem and the special ed teacher decided to become vindictive and tried to take away the few accommodations my kid had.
