I think its because it heavily relies on interpersonal skills and networking. We aren't competing against each other because we aren't direct coworkers (usually) and instead represent a small subset of our company or trade association. There's a lot of room for women to help women in government relations. Whether your company or association is a supportive place for women may differ.[/quote]
