The audio of Gilbert and a police dispatcher was haunting. Dispatcher kept her on the line for so long trying to get an address. Gilbert was high on whatever. But she had lucid moments of detail. The alleged boyfriend and another man were trying to calm her down, promising to take her home. She knew she was in danger. Didn’t agree to be taken anywhere in a car. She fled the house, and a neighbor did attempt to help her, but she kept running along the beach. The neighbor called 911. [/quote]
