This is crap.  While on DCUM basis we are not rich, we are full pay at 2 universities at the moment (DC #3 is a rising HS sophomore, they will also be full pay).  Our kids currently in college took 12 and 13 APs each, one was a varsity athlete (2 sports) and the other a theatre kid (did HS and private theatre every year), and worked every summer since 15 (lifeguarding, and babysat before that).

They wrote their essays in August, but prepped for them long before and one kid didn't finish all their applications until November 1, the other was done before HS sports practice started in August.  We have a boy and a girl, DC #3 is a boy, also an athlete, also good with time management.[/quote]
