Here comes the "I am leaving this country! I am moving away!" I am still waiting for the mass exodus of 2016...
I’ve become a dual citizen since 2016. I also know 4 US citizens who used to live in the DMV that retired to Europe since 2016.
+1 I know someone who finally got Australian permanent residentship and another who applied for Portuguese golden visa before the program ended. Quips of crossing borders aside, leaving to another country takes time, and people have been making moves since the 45 presidency.
It doesn’t take time. To get into the USA, there are organizations funded by leftists like you who hire buses to make it fast and easy. Oh, and those not as fortunate as to get one of those sacrifice their women and children to the Cartels for abuse, because they know when they illegally cross the border, they will be blessed with free phones (some of those court dates aren’t until 2035+ btw), free places to stay, free benefits, free schooling, etc. Well, not free because the government doesn’t have any money of its own. Face it - you are moving not because of republicans, but because you recognize your safety is threatened here by the number of unvetted people being let into the country, as well as the lack of law enforcement - policies you’ve voted for. But it’s OK - YOU consider yourself elite and clearly have money, so off you go, leaving those less fortunate to live in the cesspool you created for others.
Nonsense. I am making plans so my kids don’t face anti democratic, anti choice, and lack of access to healthcare, and the possibility they can get shot up in public places. Especially when you have daughters the stripping of rights is especially alarming. Crime doesn’t even factor because yes so far we have the dough that we are insulated from it. Grew up studying the principles of what made America a great democracy and sad to see the cesspool it has become. Other countries have better technology and are safer. People are making back up plans quietly. Another example, another couple I know got French citizenship through descent.
So let me get this straight: You’ve voted for the criminal policies you are now escaping because you are wealthy. Lack of access to health care - yup, the more people you bring in, the longer your wait. Bring in unvetted? Crime goes up. Equity? Crime goes up. You have the LUXURY to focus on abortion because you don’t have to deal with the consequences of your vote.
For all your harping on crime and what not that has never been an issue really for the wealthy in the country. The whole crime thing was always an agiprop to keep low uneducated people like yourself angry and voting for policies that don’t benefit you. When the rich start making back up plans to leave that’s when you know things are going down the drain. And it’s due to the rising racism, fascism, and lack of human rights in this country. But yes keep spouting off on immigration.
We know. The wealthy can buy homes in gated communities, have high end home security and also have private security to protect themselves when out and about. They certainly don't have to deal with the issues that they vote to support. Their children don't go to predominantly non-English speaking schools or schools heavy with free lunch recipients. And, as for your claim about "rising racism, fascism, and lack of human rights in this country".........LOL. You would be hard pressed to find a country that is less racist, fascist, and less concerned about human rights. That is why all those migrants want to come here. And, if you think that essentially opening our borders and allowing millions (yes, millions) of migrants to come in and live indefinitely after being poorly vetted, we know that you are indeed immune from the ramifications of such decisions. As are the politicians in power who are allowing this.
Well I care about my daughter not dying more in child birth or having an ectopic pregnancy and not being able to remedy it and continue to have equal access to good public education than the boogeyman of immigration. There are plenty of first world countries where people walk without fear and children don’t have to do active shooter drills. You do you. Since we both agree in different ways the country is slipping you are welcome to it. And if you want to go there’s the patriotic village for Americans in Russia that will welcome you with open arms.
