I'd need more than a million and, unless I had a lot more, some form of income. But she does indeed have a lot more and she can make income from writing/recording, so she's set. Many musical artists do not have that luxury and must perform because at this point it's one of the only ways to make decent money off of your songs -- between the way record companies operate and the way streaming has impacted royalties, live shows are one of the few ways most musicians/singers have to get a substantial cut of the revenues from their songs. This is one reason even more established musicians still often tour a lot -- you make less money of a million streams of your song than you used to from selling a million albums.

Miley is in the position to say "eh, I don't feel like touring" and not have to worry about her long term financial stability or being able to maintain a certain lifestyle. She's fortunate. Even many very successful musicians/bands don't really have that choice.[/quote]
