Most 50 year olds I know are running around with kid’s sports/activities all weekend. Where do you live that 50 year olds are hiding in their homes all weekend?
By 50-52 everyone in my circle was an empty nester and we didn't marry until after grad schools.
Not my circle. Most people had their LAST kid around 38-39. So I am 52 with a 15-year old and 17-year old. 3 more years until the last one leaves for college. I have friends that have kids from 12-25 who are similar age. Then I have some neighbors my age whose kids graduated from college and are back living at home while they go to grad school. I’ve been to a lot of 50th bday parties over the last 2 years and nobody was a full empty nest—a kid or two were still at home.
My crew (dc) the women were around 28 when they got married (after grad school and already employed) and the men 28-30. Most waited a few years to have kids. Kids started between 32-35 for firstborn.
