It is hard but keeping them in eye sight all the time is actually not helpful for them. We need to accept some risk for them to flourish. This is an agree to disagree situation I’m sure but I think parents should acknowledge that by limiting their kids constantly over fears of what might happen (things that are for the most part not likely) there are other risks to this - risks to independence, confidence, anxiety etc. that are very real.
