also saw Abbott reference the murder of some "illegal immigrants," to which I guess we could say thanks for the heads-up, "cripple"

but apart from that, I wonder if the "normal people" referenced earlier feel like the Democrats are the ones telling people they can think what they like, do what they like (as long as not harming others and yes, I know abortion is a glaring exception), speak their mind, and protect their families? because these are all things that the "normal people" I've been around consider important freedoms - not the "freedom" to make $15 an hour mopping floors

it's hard to filter out all the stupidity on the Internet but my impression, at a very high level, is that one party spends a lot more effort than the other these days on enforcing social conformity, and it's not the Republicans - and I'm not a Republican, and never voted for one in my life - Scout's Honor! I am one of the many millions who held my nose and voted for a guy who could barely put a sentence together for the sole reason that he wasn't trying to light forest fires every single day, even if he occasionally lights some by accident
