Oh the horror!  All that happens from an audit is they find out if your taxes are accurate.  If not, you pay a penalty and interest.  The chances OP is audited is very low unless she has a high home office deduction and/or is a high earner.  [/quote]

Do you know what the penalty is?  Do you know they have three years to do it?  With the interest and the penalties - at least 50% on top of the tax owed.  Sure - you just "happen" to pay some more money[/quote]

Chances she gets caught are very very slim.  I find it sad how the average American is concerned about a tax audit.  [/quote]
