TJ has lost about 20 freshmen and sophomores admitted under the new system this year. Seems like larger attrition than in the past.
They lost 70+ students and counting in the class of 2025. They really messed up the admissions process. Bring back teacher recommendations at least.
That's a lie. FCPS profiles show real-time enrollment. TJ started this year with 1971 and now have 1952 - a loss of 19 students. In 2018, they started with 1781 and had 1766 by March of 2019 - a loss of 16 students. There is nothing out of the ordinary happening this year. This is all public info from FCPS profiles.
This is perfect example of innumeracy - a lack of ability to reason with numbers. Slowly and one step at a time. 1. Enrollment increased for the class of 2025 and onwards to 550. 2. The majority of the decrease in the class of 2025 occurred at the end of the freshmen year when they returned to base school. You would not know this looking at aggregate data. Why? Because the graduated class of 2022 would have graduated 450 or around that number but they have enrolled 550. Many students drop out at the end of the year and not during the class year. You need to look at a little more in-depth. Not surface level analysis like you did. Whoever employed you, hopefully do not put you in a position that involves data analysis.
