Of course her life won't be in shambles over this, but she should receive appropriate punishment for this behavior - whatever this is, and maybe it's not jail time. A parent is not even allowed to choke their own child when losing their temper. It's not acceptable for a parent to choke another person's child. Adults are not allowed to lose their temper (not even once without ramifications) and hurt a child.[/quote]
