Bridgeport actually has a higher per capita income and lower poverty rate than New London. The City of Hartford's scores are worse than New London's on both counts, but it's also the core of a much larger and more prosperous metro area (and home to the state capital). But agree at its worst New London just feels depressing or seedy not dangerous. [/quote]
