Sassy is so pretty. But kind of mean that she called Ted "a mess." Keeley is looking worse and worse - so tacky. I couldn't figure out what Jack's deal was all about. She seemed so sour and odd.
I got sparks between her and Keely. I don't think she's sour - I think she's reserved. Sassy is really pretty! I love how she dresses, too. Keely and Rebecca obviously have the most FUN and interesting clothes, but she has the wardrobe I'd actually want. She was right that Ted is a mess. Seems like he's going to use her saying that as an opportunity for personal growth. Do we think he and his wife are getting back together at the end of this?
I think they will. Michelle had a tiny glimmer of a smile after their video call when he said he still loved her. Why did they break up in the first place? All I remember is Michelle saying he was "relentlessly optimistic," or something like that. Which I can definitely see. Maybe she just wanted him to be serious for a change instead of constantly cracking jokes.
I was a little confused about the video call. Was the point to let her know how he felt about her seeing the doctor or to let her know he still loves her?
I think it was about the doctor, specifically, but the doctor thing was hurtful because he still loves her. So her takeaway was that he was finally opening up about genuine feelings of pain and was doing so-- going outside his comfort zone-- because he loved her. I'm sure she knew he still loved her, since she was the one who wanted to split and he was blindsided, but I suspect she was moved not just by his love for her but his vision for and acceptance of their family, in whatever form. It was a really lovely scene.
I forget the earlier scene, but there was an earlier scene in the episode about not keeping your feelings bottled up inside and to let them out instead. I took the phone call to be his hearing the advice of not bottling up feelings.
