so how is wooton able to offer the virtual class?? obviously a virtual curriculum exists.open it up to everyone, not just the fort iij mate at wooton. geez. mcps sucks.
Excellent point I thought MCPS could not offer Health B this summer, because the virtual curriculum would not be ready in time.
Does not look like MCPS central is offering a virtual Health B. Wooton HS is offering(although I heard individual schools had to be in person). So likely means a teacher has done the work to condense the curriculum. There will NOT be an online Health B course available for summer school until summer 2024 because MSDE and UMD are building the condensed online Health B course and that's when they say it will be ready. However, MCPS local schools CAN (but they don't have to if they don't want to) choose to offer an in-person Health B summer school course in summer 2023 but each school would have to independently create a condensed version of the curriculum. Never understood why each local school would need to condense the curriculum since once it’s condensed for one school it’s just a matter of training a willing teacher on the curriculum. That said, there would still need to be a willing teacher.
