Yes, the county eliminated the CogAT in 2020 because its owner wouldn't let them administer it online at the height of the pandemic. Although they could've reinstated it since then, finding out what they've learned over the past few years will be interesting. Perhaps, they can get by without it. It's not like there aren't enough standardized tests already. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't reveal anything new. However, reinstating teacher recs wouldn't be such a bad thing...[/quote]

Disagree with teacher recs. They already have enough bias from teachers by using report card grades. Why should a socially mature, well-behaved student get any more advantages than they already have over a 2e complicated student with higher test scores? [/quote]

Because of grade inflation it isn't always obvious who the standout students are and there are ways to offset for bias.[/quote]
