If she asks, tell her your daughter is 10 and now making her own guest list list with her friends. You are no longer having family parties for her birthday. Don’t invite the family friend. It will be worse if she comes and has no one to hang out with. 10 is an age where they will not hang out with a random kid at a public venue that no one knows. [/quote]
