At most they might know of someone that's trans in their neighborhood but they aren't friends with them. How many of those people have made an effort to speak to and be friends with a transgender person? How many of them are just out there hating people? They're obsessed. The number of gay men are much greater than even the total number of all trans people (trans men/women/NB). Because of all the hate about trans people in right wing circles right now, they can't shut up about it.[/quote]
