I went in to watching this thinking I would not think much of her but finished it having a lot of respect: -she owns her mistakes and acknowledges she doesn't always think things through, leading with her heart, especially in manners of the heart. She seems to always be chasing the romance and of course that is not sustainable for most people. -she doesn't apologize for her sexuality or her choices (like Playboy), which I respect. She acknowledges the downsides of that (typecast, people dismissing and disrespecting her) but doesn't seem to regret it. -To that end, I was surprised to learn that she is pretty "clean": vegan, doesn't do drugs or appear to drink a ton. Wanted to be a mom and was a good one. Her boys seem to adore her. -The think I liked most: she is fearless. I was rooting for her by the end and in awe of her stint on Chicago. I say Brava to her!
I went in with higher expectations, and actually had the opportunity to see her in Chicago last year, but otherwise totally agree with all of this. I recently listed to Matthew Perry's autobiography so that was top of mind when watching and I really appreciated her ownership of her mistakes and her not blaming others, this was really in stark contrast to Matthew Perry.
