I have no concerns. Just answering the OPs question. The people complaining are the older families, who seem excessively distraught that the school is changing. They say vague things like - we are losing our identity. I think they have a group called Save Fairfax. They are very divisive.
If you had children there you would know that there were two reasons for the walkout. One has to do with a teacher leaving and one has to do with allocation of funding for clubs/activities/etc. It is very odd behavior for you to position yourself as a PVI parent in an attempt to sow divisiveness. I will pray for you.
Acceptances are coming out soon so gotta try and tear the school down so fewer kids accept = better chance at getting off the waitlist.
LOL. Has anyone NOT been accepted to PVI? Seriously, anyone??
Maybe that was true pre-2020, I don't know, but if you had been following LCPS, you would have seen that Covid closures, all the conflict with the parents & school board, allegations of assault cover-ups, etc. caused a significant flight from LCPS. I believe there were around 250 kids not accepted for Class of 2025. Not sure about 2026 and obviously don't know if things have settled down for 2027. It will be interesting to see how things shake out, because Loudoun does have great public high schools and wonderful dedicated teachers and admin and staff. I had one child go through LCPS, but PVI was a much better choice for my younger child, and getting away from all the LCPS drama at the time was a bonus.
