Say what you want about her political positions but to say she asked police to change her tire is dumb. She called AAA and then made the stupid decision to call the District Commander instead of the non emergency number to let them know her car was in the middle of the road. Makes sense to let the people currently in charge of traffic enforcement and safety of a traffic safety issue. If thus function was transferred to another department then she would have called them.
Who's saying she asked the police to change her tire? Do you agree her behavior was reprehensible or not?
No, I don't agree. I think it was dumb to call the District Commander, but it was an error in judgment. Anyone familiar with the FOP knows they are completely full of it and desperately want to get her voted out. If anything I think the police are abusing their powers for political gain.
Again- pretend it was anyone other than the most left member of the county council here. Literally any other elected official. Take the cheerleader hat off, and use your eyes.
It has to be a member of her team or her family writing these minimizing replies. Only they could pretend to be so obtuse as to not see the issue here or the irony of the situation. It’s very amusing. No one is asking that she be charged with a crime. I even agree with a lot of her political views, but wow.
Nope. I actually think as far as Mink's behavior goes it's not s good look that she thought calling the District Commander was the right way to go. She is a county leader and doesn't have a good understanding of how police and first responders work. I also think, as someone supportive of police reform, that it is important to be gracious towards first responders even when the FOP is being ...the FOP, and her Twitter post doesn't show any graciousness towards the people that helped her. But the specific criticisms of her being laid out in this thread strike me as pretty ridiculous. If the only way your brain can process that is to assume I'm a member of her team, so be it, in that case, y'all are a bunch of FOP members trying to discredit someone who wants to reduce your department's budget.
