Kid’s license comes in the mail - very unceremoniously. [/quote]^^ This. Our VA-based DC received hers in the mail after turning 16yr3mos since the driving instructor turned in the proper paperwork. DMV uses their learner's permit photo. No ceremony, fanfare, or black-robe lecture. [side note: one of said DC's teacher's spouse is a sitting judge who loved to conduct those ceremonies and was looking forward to doing DC's. He is bummed they no longer happen.][/quote]
