DC privates includes the ones in Nova & Bethesda/Potomac.  I think anyone literally thinking DC privates reference on the ones in DC proper here on DCUM is the type of pretentious parent living in DC and dying to be in the social circle of their neighbor that sends their kid to the local in DC private[/quote]

No, DC privates ONLY mean those schools that are located in Washington, DC.  Potomac, Landon, Holton, etc are NOT DC privates.  Period.[/quote]

No assumption needed. If you mean greater Washington schools or DC area schools then just say that. No need to say DC when you mean Potomac or Landon. [/quote]
