Would anyone "yet" consider either of these "strong" programs?  I think 3d or True would be the best examples but still not great.  STEPS is one that has a decent girls program but weak boys teams.  But even nationally Team 91, 3D, and True cannot claim to be leaders in both.  Locally, Cav's, Hammers/Evergreen, Madlax, NL, 3d, and a few others have all tried.  I think you are correct it is the directors who do not understand one side or the other.

Rec lacrosse in the NVYLL area may not last another 5 years.  The endless number of Travel clubs has killed Rec and the numbers show that.[/quote]
