If you like British shows, you've probably already seen them, but the 1980s Miss Marples and Poirot (Agatha Christie) are well done with a great cast and a lot of money spent on the settings.
The new poirot with John malkovich is a maze ing. As a poirot newbie, is this the first time we get his origin story?
Oh that's interesting. I haven't seen that one. The ABC Murders done in 2018? I think in the books, Poirot's backgound story was that he was part of the Belgian police and eventually became an evacuee to England during WW1. Specifically in the first Poirot book, the Mysterious Affair at Styles. Some of the older video series did cover Poirot's obsession (not sure that is the right word) with justice specifically the Murder on the Orient Express adaptation with David Suchet from 2010. Almost a religious fervor of sorts.
There is an episode called The Chocolate Box in the Suchet series that has flashbacks to when he was younger in Belgium.
