The Johnson at W&L offers over 10% to the finalists based on a yield rate aiming for 10% when it all shakes out. My child was a finalist. They continue to offer to their alternates after May 1 acceptance decisions are due until 10% is reached if their yield prediction is off and fewer accept. Some years several of the alternates end up getting offers, other years none do. My child was an alternate, this was explained clearly to us. DC ended up removing their name from the alternate list and going elsewhere.[/quote]
