While I certainly wouldn't describe that as functional, I don't think it's all that terrible of an idea for the/a royal family.

Fergie is not Diana, but certainly her every move was covered by the press. And it was only covered by the press because she married Andrew. I think everyone that marries in to the royal family is making an agreement to shed their private persona and therefore the royal family is stuck with that fact if the marriage goes south. I don't have a lot of sympathy for the royal family in this regard. You broke it, you bought it.[/quote]
