This is like any other cult. People are missing something in their lives when they join, and what they are missing probably isn’t something a parent can provide. Also when kids are older the influence of the parent wanes and they’re more likely to follow their peers. If this was an 8-year old your question might be valid but for somebody who is 18 it’s a different story. Also be careful, you might be instilling an attitude of condescension and superiority in your children if they are taking after you. [/quote]
