It’s unique in tgat it us almost entirely self-sufficient. What do you mean we’ve “guyted higher education in this state”? Most parents I know would kill for the higher Ed resources Virginia has. The only comparable system is California’s three-tier system but that’s almost exclusively for Californians now. [/quote] Over half of UVA's budget is the medical system and that is not funded by the state general funds and should not be since it operates like most hospitals on patient fees. That distorts the picture. UVA actually gets more from the state per in state student than most Virginia public colleges.[/quote]
