OP here. No, the conversation was actually pretty detailed.  My kid said my EFC is X and I can afford Y per year, which is a difference of Z.  I can swing that but if my actual aid is offer is different I may not be ok. What are my options.  The response was you can back out under those circumstances.[/quote]
