True.  Charter schools do this kind of marketing and advertising all the time.

Do you think BASIS is doing this to fill seats or doing this to diversify/be able to say "we're trying to diversify?" This isn't even a criticism - but I think it's extraordinary unlikely that anyone at BASIS is looking at the numbers and predicting that they are going to have excess capacity. DCPS is only going one direction as far as de-emphasizing tracking and randomizing admissions to selective high schools and there are more UMC kids in EOTP neighborhoods.  [/quote]
