Every Republican voted to end it. Biden says he will veto it. Why do Democrats want to keep this emergency status?
If every Republican and a quarter of the Democrats voted against it, it didn't pass and there will be nothing for Biden to veto.
The original post was confusing. (Not written by me.) The Senate passed a bill to end the “Covid emergency” with some bipartisan support and Biden has said he will veto (meaning the emergency continues.) The Senate passed a similar bill in March with less Dem votes. Clearly the emergency continued back then too.
