Like much of America he has struggled with addiction. Hopefully his book will help an addict, someone struggling with recovery, and an addicts family.

He's only been sober for 18 months, which explains SO MUCH.

He has not done nearly enough work, and doesn't have nearly enough perspective, to be writing a book at this point. Blaming Reeves for Phoenix's death (if that's what is going on) is just more proof that Perry hasn't done the work. Addiction is an illness, and is no one's fault. But getting treatment for that illness, and taking the steps necessary to treat the illness, is entirely the responsibility of the person abusing drugs. [b]The fact that Perry is blaming anyone but River Phoenix and Heath Ledger for their own choices is part and parcel of being a teeny tiny recovery baby who has not done nearly enough introspection to be speaking in public[/b].
