I watched Judy Woodruff last night talking with a group of 18-yr old first-time voters and they all had one issue in common: Roe v Wade and we're voting for pro-choice candidates. I suspect there may be a tsunami of voters with this single issue. We don't take kindly to having our rights taken away by religious zealots!
This made me happy, thank you. [twitter]https://twitter.com/newshour/status/1580330088226492417?s=61&t=a1buCFQVaBJpgWv6Vr5D1A[/twitter]
Many younger voters aren't realizing impact of economy yet and are buffered by their parents and student loans. Older voters will be at the polls, too-- and very much aware.
Well, older doesn't mean smarter in this case it seems. Our best economic times over the last 30 years have been under Democratic administrations, and sometimes with a GOP controlled Congress. I don't think the political whim of the day or year is what shapes or controls our economy even though a heck of a lot of people like to believe it.
Older often means having personal knowledge of the economic times and impact of the 70's and 80's.
