It's one of the things that makes implanted memories more plausible. My kid, for example, has, unprompted, referenced a few things he did when we last visited my home country, and they were specific things that a child would've cared about (e.g his grandfather got him plastic toy tank, an event I barely remember myself); he was three at the time. My mother-in-law can reach back even further. As for me, one of my earliest memories was my mom pointing out someone and saying "Look, it's your local-equivalent-of-a-kindergarten-teacher from last year!" and then having a pleasant chat with the lady. I would have sworn I had never seen that person before in all my life. [/quote]
