Any difference in how well prepared kids who take honors vs AAP kids? I have one in AAP and another who will take honors courses.
I have twins one took honors and one took AAP in middle school. They literally had the same teachers in different periods with the same assignments, homework and tests. It is identical, just social separation of the two groups.
We had this experience as well, for everything except seventh grade English. That teacher used different books and stories, different projects and assessments, and different assignments for at least 50% of the year. If I remember correctly, my kids had the same grammar lessons in AAP and Honors, and a few of the same assessments, but most of their work was different. My oldest child had the same teacher (not the same year) in standard English, and those assignments and projects were also different than my AAP kid and Honors kid had. That teacher is amazing.
