But I never said I “swindled” anything. I said I set my kid up to make a pretty compelling argument that she was independent but in the end she never had to make it. In any event, as I pointed out a couple of posts ago it seems the law has changed and that you’re in pretty good shape even if you can’t prove you’re independent if you show that you went to high school in VA for at least two years and graduated from a VA high school. So OP looks to be in good shape, so long as she waits until after graduating high school. [/quote]
