This would have been great 15-20 years ago. Newly monetized blogs that actually make good money are not really a thing. The old school bloggers have that locked down and newer ones use IG/Tik Tok/etc. and a lot of the OG blogs have become hate reads for a lot of people. Now, with all the information more easily available, not worth it. You could advertise it as a paid play group, but then it would need to be specific to ages/activities and I don’t think that’s what you’re going for.
blogs are back in the form of newsletter. a lot of people are making money this way. OP, i reiterate my advice to move to substack. the interface is excellent and the setup will help you understand how many people are ready to pay for your content. once you have the list of your subscribers you will be able to advertise various add-ons, such as special outings you envisioned.
Newsletters? I’ve seen bloggers set these up but who is subscribing to them to get the same worn out tips that are floating around free?
you don't know that her tips are "worn out". I don't read mommy blogs, personally, but if she has a lot of readers, like it seems that she does, it makes sense to move to substack and charge them.
1,000 is not a lot of readers if you want to earn money.
this really depends on how strong your following is. i mean, 1000 substack subscribers makes you 50k-10k. 1000 regular readers are not going to become paid subscribers overnight but she has a good chance of getting 10k from existing readers alone.
