My 15 yo was 110 5’5” no puberty. He was the shortest/smallest of all his friends. He was an athlete and it was hard to keep up but he never lost faith and plays D1 is 6’2”.
This is like our family. We are late growers. My youngest son, 14, is the most extreme. He is 5'4" 103 pounds, very skinny. Baby face, little kid voice, but does have under arm hair (not thick) and leg hair. He is just now starting to grow. 2 inches were this summer. His arms and legs are very long. I was worried, but seeing his growth this summer I know it is just late. He still is a good athlete but it's been hard when the coach favors size over skill (not basketball). His brother's growth spurt came at 15 and he's now almost 17 and 6 feet and possibly still growing. He put on a lot of muscle and filled out this year too. I think this coming year will be a big change for my son because he is tracking for his growth spurt next spring closer to 15. My brother is 6'3" and grew two inches in college. I am female and grew an inch in college (which is almost unheard of for women). It's tough watching them struggle.
I want to add that he plays soccer and he is no longer the smallest on his team and this summer he is now smack in the middle. There is a huge size and puberty/physical development of all of these boys born in the same birth year. Some look 10 and some look 18.
