If you have a nice balance of reaches/targets/safeties, and you and your kid are not focused on only one college, then it can be an exciting time exploring colleges, majors, new places, etc. So bottom line is much of it depends on you and your kid's perception. IMHO, much of the stress the kids feel are from their parents. So try to take a step back and enjoy the process a bit as it is a big milestone.[/quote]
