I have a lot of friends there as I went to college down there. They are all planning to work hard on flipping the senate seat
But Biden lost it.
Why would he win in NC if it’s gerrymandered in favor of republicans?
Because it's a popular vote statewide election!
More Republicans typically vote during midterm elections than Democrats.
[twitter]https://twitter.com/keithboykin/status/1545082205201846272?s=21&t=u3IOnxE3Sb5YHbvC6Izlbw[/twitter]
It’s not just abortion. They are going to take away birth control and believe me we will be sure that every voter knows that come Nov.
Sure they are. They just want all women barefoot and pregnant. No birth control for you!!! Put that condom down! No IUDs allowed!!!! Do you even hear yourself? Do you really believe that or are you just fear mongering? And, just curious.... have they taken abortion away from you?
I think there is maybe one or two rabid feminists making these statements. Their right, their choice, but the hyperbole makes it hard to do anything but eye-roll.
How is it hyperbole given the vote yesterday? Republicans could have easily just voted for the bill and shown all of us that democrats were making a big deal out of nothing. But they voted against it.
Not hyperbole at all. Voting yes on the access to contraception bill would have put this debate to rest, but only 8 gop representatives voted yes. We all saw that. Most of us aren’t stupid enough to buy the gop’s excuses as to why they voted no. Liz Cheney is very conservative, seems to be the only republicans left with any sort of moral compass and the guts to use it, and she voted yes. So, it’s definitely possible for a gop representative to vote to protect access to contraception but the vast majority didn’t.
