I'm an atheist, who also thinks religion is very important.  It's had a huge effect on society, both positive and negative.  You can think religion is very important without believing in it.  And nothing in Z's post says that he believes in it.[/quote]

If he says not an atheist, then he believes in something. Maybe not a traditional god, but something.
