Remember when catholic schools forced left handed kids to write with their right… because of the devil. Same thing. Or priests could not marry interracial couples, same thing. Or divorced people could not receive communion, same thing. Or women could not do certain things on the alter during mass, same thing. or women could not be part of the Dicastery, same thing. The Catholic Church as it is currently run by the corrupt men in the US is often pathetic and behind the times. No you can’t discriminate… it’s against the law and against Jesus.
I say this as an atheist whose own child is in public school, knock it off. Joining a church or religion is a choice in this country. And no one is making you join or send your kid to a catholic school. However cudgeling people with But Jesus! doesn’t do what you think it accomplishes.
I am actually a denote Catholic with children in Catholic schools that honor pronouns and gender expression. I believe in separation of church and state. I think it’s evil and sinful what the Green Bay bishop is doing. But it’s been done by a terrible man who is racist and lacks empathy for raped parishioners and students. (But sure back him.) I don’t belong to a cult so I actually shall speak up against actions by this man man, who represents my religion, but does it in a way that is sinful. Take a seat.
