My guess is that Woodward will not be a single high school cluster but become part of the DCC.
Sure, if you believe adjacent schools like WJ and BCC are in the DCC. Changes to these boundaries will impact all schools including the DCC but they aren't going to bus kids across the county for your convenience.
None of the schools mentioned are "across the county" from each other. WJ is adjacent to two of the DCC schools: Wheaton and Einstein.
Yes, the reopening of Woodward will impact the boundaries of adjacent schools like WJ, Einstein, and BCC mainly, but to a lesser degree schools like Wheaton sure.
Viers Mill ES in the Wheaton cluster is the closest DCC school to Woodward and will almost certainly be affected. BCC schools are not in scope for this project.
This poster insists on BCC being part of the Woodward realignment every time the topic comes up. Posters have pointed out that there are multiple feeders to Wheaton and Einstein that are closer to Woodward than any of the BCC feeders, but it never sinks in to her.
And MCPS has clearly said Woodward is to relieve overcrowding at WJ and the DCC. Not BCC. Perhaps that someone just has a weird dyslexia.
BCC was originally part of the DCC until the Karens insisted it be separate; nevertheless, it is still one of the only downcounty schools.
I never did understand why they call it the DCC for a bunch of schools outside the beltway. The ones inside the beltway aren't downcounty?
It's DownCounty Consortium, not inside the beltway consortium. All the schools are downcounty.

I get it, but aren't Churchill and BCC the most downcounty of all schools?
