Child abuse happens in all kinds of families- rich, poor. In other countries, social workers visit parents from the time the baby is born to make sure the parents are equipped to take care of them. Do you want to make that kind of investment and pay those taxes? We have an overwhelmed and terrible foster care system- where are we going to put kids whose parents are bad?[/quote]
