Worth has a much lower baseline of murder compared to DC. If murders rise in Ft. Worth by a little bit, the percent change will look drastic because of a smaller baseline. Meanwhile, DC can see a much larger number of murders in terms of raw numbers, but the percent change will be smaller compared to Ft. Worth specifically because the denominator for DC is so much higher. DC has way higher number of murders per capita than Ft.
