[/quote] On principle, I object to fancy versions of things that aren't supposed to be fancy, but the Poptarts at Ted's Bulletin are what I remember Poptarts tasting like (only now they don't). Lafayette in New York used to have a gourmet Ho-ho that again tasted the way I remember Ho-hos tasting when I was 8. I have yet to find a version of au gratin potatoes that tastes the way I remember the boxed ones tasting. I've even made them from the Serious Eats recipe, and they were good, but not what I remember[/quote]
