Why can’t you just wear a tampon? I went to the pool with a mom who had her period. I had to care for her kids who were fighting and splashing other kids. I was so beyond annoyed at her and her lack of tampon use.
If OP has gotten to the age of her life where she has two children and takes trips, then I think it's fair to assume she's tried tampons more than once and for whatever reason they just don't work for her.
It's not actually fair to assume that when she states exactly the opposite. "Op here. I did c section, so I did not have vaginal birth. I have never used a tampon. I tried one time, and it was unsuccessful and hurt. It was so tight and dry down there that I can't figure out how to insert it. I am petite and small, can someone recommend me a tampon brand that is easy to use. I will try it again."
It’s a matter of personal preference. I think a lot of people prefer plastic applicators, but I prefer the cardboard applicators, Tampax brand. I tend to use the largest I can find, but you might want to start with a smaller size. My first time, my mom told me when she started using them, she hated them because she hadn’t inserted it far enough. You have to push the absorbent part fully into the vagina and then pull the string enough do that it is seated against, but not wedged into the vaginal opening. As for the dryness, the period itself should provide enough moisture for lubrication. I know it’s awkward and uncomfortable at first, but giving birth is really irrelevant. Frankly, assuming you’ve ever had sex, the relative size of a tampon should be minor. Good luck, OP. I hope it works out for you.
