The only reason I can think to separate the genders for Sex Ed is because you think the kids might be less embarrassed to ask questions in a single-sex environment; since in my misty memories they’re generally too embarrassed too many questions anyway.
It also avoids liability problems. You won’t need to worry about separating kids by sex and getting a girl in a boys group or a non-binary kid in a girls group. FCPS does not need to spend money hiring biologists to determine which are the girls so that they can be properly assigned. This is just more efficient.
This is so ridiulous. If there is not such thing as gender, or if gender is "separate from biological sex" then there is ZERO reason to combing kids for biologically specific sex ed training. The kids "gender" identity should not matter one iota for sex ed. It should be biologically divided only, based off your genetic chromosones. If a kid is medically being pumped with hormones or transitioning, they have explicitly specific medical needs as it relates to puberty, and should only have this training in a medical setting with a doctor familiar with their unique medical and psychological needs, NOT in a 4th or 5th grade classroom by a teacher who is not a trained medical or mental health specialist. Either biological sex is separate for gender, or it is not. Trans advocates, you cannot have it both ways.
